The Hatchimals CollEGGtibles arrive in beautiful packaging that your child cracks to reveal cute little pets for them to care for.

Playing with the Hatchimals CollEGGtibles range was the first time I’ve seen my eldest daughter really show an interest in collecting a set of something.

She loved looking at the little creatures that were revealed and then matching them up to the pictures on the sheet showing all the different characters available to collect.

For this review we were sent the Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Spring Bouquet and one each of the Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Pet Obsessed Pet Shop and Hatchipets sets.

Hatchimals CollEGGTibles toy review

The principles of how they work are the same for both types of toy. You receive a hard plastic container that needs to be cracked to reveal the little toys inside.

Depending on the set you choose, you may also get little bonus accessories to go with the characters.

You get a lot for the price and the act of opening the characters is really fun for the kids. Plus the packaging can then be used as a stand after all of the case has been opened.

I’ll talk about each of the sets we received individually to give you an idea of what you get with each one.

Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Spring Bouquet review

Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Spring Bouquet

This is a really special set and totally different to anything I have seen for the kids before. I love the way it was presented as a bunch of flowers, such a perfect Valentine’s Day gift for children!

This Hatchimal set comes with five “flowers” laid out on a base which has holes for each flower to slot into so that they stand up.

I loved the pretty pink shades of the flowers. Each bloom has a gold illustration on the front. You use your fingers to gently push the plastic flowers until they crack open.

Inside is a cute little character. You also get an additional character with the bouquet ready to play with.

There are 12 pets to collect in total in the range, so you would need to buy two bouquets to have the chance to pick up all 12 characters.

The Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Spring Bouquet costs £14.99 and is suitable for ages five and upwards.

Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Pet Obsessed Pet Shop review

The little hearts that these cute pets come in are almost too pretty to crack open!

This set comes with two hearts which hatch super cute little duos, as well as two pets that are ready to play. There are also three mini pet accessories

The hearts work the same way as the flowers. You use your fingers to gently push through and crack the plastic, then ease it out of the way so you can reveal the pets inside.

Hatchimal Pet Obsessed CollEGGtible review

There are two pets in each egg – a Hatchimal and a little pet. The matching pairs fit together in different ways – one might stand on top of the other or they may hold hands. It’s nice to be able to match them together and show them playing with each other.

There are an amazing 60 Pet Obsessed Hatchimals to collect! My daughter loved matching up what she had received with the checklist sheet of pictures showing all of the pets available in the range.

The animals include turtles, lions, hippos, puppies and horses. The detail on all of the characters and pets is really cute, they have smiling little faces and pretty, bright eyes.

The Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Pet Obsessed Pet Shop costs £7.99. I really loved the little hearts the CollEGGtibles came in and think this makes a fantastic gift for a child. The price is really great too!

Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Pet Obsessed Hatchipets  review

Hatchimals Pet Obsessed

This one was the smallest of the sets we received.

It’s very similar to the Pet Shop set, but with just the one heart and no accessories.

The 2-pack set comes with a heart that your child can crack and reveal a Hatchimal and pet, as well as a ready-to-play Hatchimal and pet duo.

At just £4.99 it’s a great price.

What did we think of the Hatchimals CollEGGtibles

The Hatchipets you can collect from the sets are so cute! It’s lovely that each Hatchimal comes with a matching pet for your child to play with as a duo.

The heart-shaped containers that the pets hatch from can be flipped over and used as stand for the pets to sit on or as a nest.

Colleggtible Hatchimal

It’s lovely that there are so many of the Hatchipets to collect and the design of each of the little characters is really adorable. There are some gorgeous, colourful details to each of them!

I particularly loved how unique the Spring Bouquet was. I think this is a really cool design, not only for the reveal your child can go through with hatching each flower but also that you can then display them as a bouquet once all the animals are hatched.

The price is really good and I would definitely give these as a gift to my kids or their friends for birthdays and Christmas.

The little heart shapes of the Pet Obsessed sets, and the flowers of the Spring Bouquet, also make these amazing Valentine’s gifts for kids!

We loved revealing our Hatchipets and I know my daughter will be trying to collect every single one!

We were gifted these toys in exchange for an honest review.
