Hey Duggee smart tablet toy review

We were gifted this toy in exchange for an honest review.

We all love Hey Duggee in our house.

From the cute animation, to the songs and the fun adventures, it’s one of the kids’ favourite cartoons to watch.

Hey Duggee smart tablet

So there were lots of happy faces when we were sent a Hey Duggee Smart Tablet to review!

This bright tablet features illustrations from the cartoon as well as voices from the TV series that will be familiar to Duggee fans.

Now that my eldest daughter is at school I’ve been very focused on helping her with reading and writing. But my youngest, who is three, isn’t quite there yet.

So while the school helps me with lots of things to do for my eldest, I have to find new ways to help my youngest daughter with her learning.

She has some brilliant learning toys already, like her blocks with numbers and letters on and she loves jigsaw puzzles.

How does the Hey Duggee Smart Tablet work?

Getting to grips with the smart tablet is really simple.

There’s a large on/off button that’s easy for little fingers to use. The screen is covered with characters from the TV series as well as shapes, colours and numbers.

Your child taps a picture or number and explores the games and challenges the tablet offers with audible questions.

The tablet is split into five different interactive sections. Your child can tap a button prompting a quiz where they are asked to find a particular number, colour or character. It’s really great for teaching simple numbers, colours, letters, spelling, phonics and shapes!

Hey Duggee Smart tablet review

The touch screen is very sensitive and responsive, so it’s very easy for your child to sit and use all by themselves.

The tablet is quite a decent size, making the large illustrations easy for uncoordinated little fingers to find. The edge of the tablet is surrounded by bright blue rubber-like material which makes it easy for your child to grip it.

I love that this toy combines fun and something that children love with learning. It retails at just £17.99 and so makes a really fab gift idea for a aged three plus.
