30+ Best Baby Shower Prizes Guests Will Love

Planning a party to celebrate the pitter patter of tiny feet and need some fun baby shower prizes for guests?

Whether you are planning on playing some fun baby shower games or will be enjoying some creative activities, you may want to reward your guests with some cool prizes.

Pregnant lady with friends at baby shower

Some great baby shower prizes include:

  • Pampering treats – think bath salts, bubble bath, candles, lip balm.
  • Alcohol – this one really depends on how many guests are pregnant alongside the mama-to-be (in some friendship groups everyone seems to overlap with their pregnancies!).
  • Baking/craft kits – keep it simple as everyone has varying abilities when it comes to crafts. Think baking kits and colouring books for adults.

The ideas in this list can also be used as party favours – especially the gifts baskets and pampering kits like the homemade bath salts.

You’ll find unique baby shower gift ideas for games and inexpensive ideas too, as well as some suggestions for male guests!

How much to spend on baby shower prizes

When budgeting for baby shower prizes and party favours a good place to start is roughly £10 per prize and £3 a head for party favours (or door prizes, which are prizes given for just attending the party).

You can easily do this for far less and the best way to decide how much you spend on baby shower prizes is to look at your overall budget for the party.

When considering your budget for the baby shower most of your spending will probably go on refreshments – that’s assuming the party will be held at someone’s home so you won’t have the expense of hiring a venue.

Prioritise the catering and venue, then consider decorations. Once you know the costs for these then you can consider how much you can afford to spend on prizes.

How many games to play at a baby shower

Plan to have four to five games at the baby shower. If your party is only set to last three hours and includes lunch then you may only have time for three, but if you have a couple of extra in reserve it means you won’t lose momentum at the party.

When considering how many games to play think about how long your party is scheduled to be – if it’s longer than four hours then you may want another four games planned.

There are some ideas for modern baby shower games here.

I have a gorgeous bundle of baby shower games in my Etsy store, which you can print off as many copies as you need once you’ve purchased them. They’re perfect for keeping guests entertained for the baby shower.

Unique baby shower prizes

These super cute baby shower prizes are unique and will wow the guests at your baby shower.

They include ideas for putting together pretty gifts that will add to your party decor. Lay them out on a table in view of the guests to add pops of colour and fun to the party.

Pampering treats

Get a mason jar or a pretty mug and fill it with a pampering treats – a pretty loofah, mini jar or bag of bath salts and shower gel.

Fresh flowers

Treat your guests with pretty bunches of daisies and tulips wrapped in brown paper or popped into little jars.

You could add a label to the jar with a message such as “It was blooming lovely to see you at my baby shower”.

Dried flowers

I have become such a big fan of preserved flowers. They last much longer – I had a bunch that was still beautiful after two years – and make a really thoughtful gift!

This is a more expensive gift so will stretch the budget a little – think roughly £30 per prize. So it may be one you want to give as a grand prize perhaps if you’re on a tight budget.

I love the flowers from Happy Blossoms and have ordered gifts from here in the past.

Succulents

Pretty succulents are a perfect small prize to hand out to your guests. Not only do they look pretty and add to the decor of the party, but they’re a present that will actually last and be appreciated.

You could tie notes or hearts on them as shown below.

Look for offers in local garden centres selling multiple succulents with a discount.

If you don’t want to get plants then you could pick up some pretty hanging planters or pots to give away so that guests can then go out and select their own houseplant to place into it.

Homemade bath salts

Make it pretty by adding ribbon and handwritten labels on brown card for a pretty homemade feel.  Don’t forget to add a recipe.

Cake baking kit
