We were gifted the AquaPlay Super Set in exchange for an honest review.
The AquaPlay Super Set is the perfect water toy with lots of features to keep your child busy.
The set comes in pieces which you combine to make a reservoir with looped channel which kids can float the boats that come in the box down.
They can create currents, use the floodgates to block the water off so they can experiment with different water levels and use the crane to lift cargo in and out of the boats.
It’s fantastic if you want a water toy for your child that doesn’t require buckets and buckets of water to fill it up!
I filled around four jugs of water to get enough liquid in the toy for the boats to float and the kids to have enough water to play with.
It’s definitely far less stressful than filling up a paddling pool which can take a while even with a decent hose!
The toys is aimed at kids aged three to seven years. My two are four and six, and they both loved it!
What’s in the box?
The Aquaplay Super Set comes in 29 pieces. Along with the channels, reservoir and connectors you also get:
- Access ramp
- Hand crank
- Container boat with cargo
- Amphibian vehicle
- Wilma the hippo
The Super Set comes in pieces so you need to first stick water tight strips to the connectors and then clip the bits of reservoir and channels together.
Clipping the pieces together is relatively easy but you do need a bit of force at times to connect both sides.
Once it was all assembled and the water was inside the toy it was definitely water-tight. No leaks at all!
What can you do with the AquaPlay Super Set
Once the toy is set up your child can just explore the water and how the boats move around the channels of the Super Set.
It’s brilliant as an independent play toy, because everything about it is very intuitive and both of my kids knew what to do with everything right away.
My two loved creating a current using the hand crank. You can turn this and send the boats whizzing all the way around the channel.
The crane is a nice touch to let your kid lift cargo in and out of the boats too.
My two have already been adding other toys that they own to the Super Set, such as action figures, to expand on the little games they play with the Super Set.

AquaPlay Super Set review verdict
The AquaPlay Super Set is a fantastic toy to add to your garden!
My two have been happily playing with it outdoors in 15C heat, but I know it will come into its own when we get a big heatwave!
It will be perfect for having fun and cooling down with all of the splashing on a hot day.
It’s great to see the kids experimenting with making the water move between compartments of the toy and creating currents. This is a toy I know they will love to play with over the spring and summer.
