Little ones just love cars, and they love building blocks, so it’s fabulous to see the two combined so well in the LeapBuilders Fix-It Truck.

This gorgeous toy comes with a variety of blocks that are easy for little fingers to hold and slot together. There are 23 pieces with this truck, giving kids loads of options for what they can build, from a crane to a train or something anything their imagination can think of.

What really brings this toy to life is the Smart Star unit, which your little builders can use with the building blocks to produce different sounds and learn about colours and numbers.

What I really loved about these blocks was how the single ones could be slotted together at any angle. Your child doesn’t have to get edges exactly lined up because they are round, which is so much easier for kids who are learning about building with blocks.

This toy has brilliant interactivity thanks to the Smart Star Unit which responds with more than 100  phrases and sounds.

If you buy more toys from the LeapBuilders range, these all slot together with this toy as well, so you can build up a lovely collection and expand on what your kids can build.

What comes in the box?

Smart Star unit, which has more than 100 phrases, sounds and songs.

15 smart blocks (23 pieces in total) which slot into the Smart Star to make different sounds about colours, numbers and counting.

Truck base with wheels for lots of whizzing around during playtime.

What did my kids think?

Both girls loved playing with this toy, and both chose to build different things with the blocks. My youngest just wanted to create really long strings of blocks with the single blocks, while my eldest tried to create her very own truck.

Both loved the sounds coming from the Smart Star and it’s great how it teaches kids about counting in a fun and interactive way.
