Organising a baby shower in fall and need themes and decor ideas to make the party pop? We’ve got you!
Fall is such a gorgeous time for a baby shower, with beautiful foliage, cool seasonal decorations and playful themes to draw inspiration from, there’s so much to love.
I get that summer is seemingly the ideal time for a baby shower – especially as the weather means you’re more likely to be able to do it outside.
But fall colours are just stunning, plus I think Halloween provides so many opportunities for a fun party theme.

Fall baby shower themes
Little Boo is Almost Due
It’s the spookiest time of the year, so why not bring this playful holiday into your baby party? This is an ideal theme for a mama-to-be who loves Halloween and wants something fun.

Think ghost-shaped cookies, “boo-tiful” banners, black-and-orange balloons, and cute ghost tableware rather than scary decor.
And don’t be scared to go for a soft pastel colour scheme if that’s what you want – it still works wonderfully with a spooky Halloween theme.

You could also get more playful with the Halloween theme by adding fun monster cake pops and cupcakes.

We Can Bearly Wait
Perfect for cosy fall vibes, this woodland teddy-bear theme brings warmth and comfort.

Use soft neutral tones, such as beige, brown, cream, accented with autumnal oranges and golds.
Think bear cupcakes, honey jars as favours, and plush teddy bear centerpieces nestled in rustic baskets.

Our Little Pumpkin
Pumpkins are a surprisingly versatile vegetable and they are everywhere in fall, so making them the focus of your baby shower is a bright idea.

You could go for all orange, large pumpkins displayed with rustic crates, fall leaves and twinkling fairy lights for your decor.
Or be more understated and choose tiny pumpkins as centrepieces – mix up the colour with some white pumpkins, or paint your pumpkins to suit your colour scheme.

Another cool twist on this theme is “pumpkin spice”. Get latte cups and add cute little Kuwaii style drawings of pumpkin spice mugs. Get a pretty garland spelling out “I love you a latte”.
The food can then be all about the pumpkin flavours, with pumpkin spice muffins and doughnuts, and little cups of pumpkin soup.
Autumn Florals
I love a Baby in Bloom theme as flowers just make me smile and you can customise it so nicely to your colour palette and the time of year.
Deep reds, burnt oranges, and golden yellows, paired with dahlias, chrysanthemums, or even eucalyptus. Add in dried grasses or fall leaves for texture.

Simple tiny jars with wildflowers, a few orange leaves, surrounded by tiny pumpkins make adorable table centerpieces. Try using a rustic cloth as a table runner to add to the vibe of a wildflower fall shower.
My little sunflower
Sunflowers bloom in late summer and are often still at their glorious best during the fall.

Those gorgeous yellow blooms work beautifully in table arrangements alongside orange pumpkins, so why not choose this bright, cheerful flower for your baby party?
A sunflower cake or cupcakes topped with edible petals tie the whole theme together. Try some sunflower cookies too!
Jack Skellington
For the ultimate Halloween-loving mama, a Nightmare Before Christmas baby shower is quirky and fun.

Go for a black-and-white palette with pops of purple and orange, or maybe even blue for a boy.
Serve themed snacks (like “Sally’s Potion Punch”) and decorate with pumpkins painted in stripes and swirls.

Gothic
A gothic baby shower could be really simple – with a few bat cut outs sprinkled into your balloon displays – all a full-on Addams’ Family emo playground.

Whether you want to keep it simple, or make a big statement, there’s so much fun you can have with this theme.
Black is an essential colour here, and you could keep a simple mono theme throughout or add a little splash of accent colour with green or orange.
Baby is Brewing
This baby shower theme can be used in several different ways. It could be all about coffee or tea, or even focused on witches and brewing up a potion, which has the potential for lots of magical imagery like stars and twinkly lights.

Slice Slice Baby
Who doesn’t love pizza? A pizza baby shower is fun and cool and perfect for a comforting fall theme.
You’ll want to serve pizzas, naturally, plus use gingham table cloths and ribbons for decor. For your food, bowls of popcorn with candy sprinkled on top add to this playful theme.
You could even set up a DIY pizza station or serve wood-fired pizzas with fun toppings.
Other decor can be cheeky — pizza slice garlands and favours like mini pizza cutters or seasoning jars.

Home Grown
Celebrate the seasonal produce of fall with a wholesome Home Grown baby shower.
This one is all about the food – so maybe pick a few veggies and fruits of the season to make the stars of your decor and food table.

Use lots of greenery, veggie centerpieces and wooden crates filled with apples, squash and gourds.
You can also incorporate farm-style favours like jars of homemade jam or seed packets.

Woodland Creatures
An adventurous woodland theme featuring cute cartoon creatures is so whimsical.

Use greens and blues for a nature feel, plus have cardboard cutouts and banners featuring cute foxes, bears, deer and racoons.
Try serving some fun decorated Adventure Awaits cookies to add a special touch to your food table.

Apple of My Eye
Few things say fall like apples. Think big red balloons, rustic crates and bowls of apples on your tables.

Think apple cider bar, caramel apple favors, and apple-themed games. Decorate with apple crates, baskets of fresh fruit, and gingham prints for a rustic harvest feel.

Add greenery to your decor to make it look really pretty. I love this dessert cart, plus the sweet little baby outfits really add to the vibe.

Moon and stars
A dreamy, celestial theme that works beautifully with a navy, gold, and silver palette.
Add twinkling string lights, star-shaped cookies, and moon motifs throughout the décor. It’s whimsical yet elegant, making it perfect for an evening baby shower.

Peter Rabbit
The adorable children’s book character is perfect if you love the idea of a whimsical nature theme.
Use soft pastels mixed with earthy tones, bunny motifs, and garden-inspired decorations like carrots, watering cans, and rustic fences. Perfect for a fall garden party feel.

If you are wondering what to do for food at a Peter Rabbit shower then check out this lovely table of sweet treats. Cake, brownies, carrot cake and sweet cupcakes with green icing will have your guests hopping with joy.

A Little Cutie Pie
Sweet, citrusy, and perfect for a fall twist on the classic “Cutie” theme.
You can focus on mini pies (apple, pumpkin, pecan) as desserts, paired with cozy pie-scented candles as favours.
For decor, use plaid blankets and pie stands for a rustic, homey vibe.
Boho baby
A boho theme works no matter what the time of year! It’s a cosy and beautiful theme.
Think beige and pale pastel shades along with simple florals and pampas grass.

Fall baby shower decor ideas
Tiny pumpkins
Nothing says fall quite like a little pumpkin.

Use mini orange or white pumpkins as table centrepieces, line them down the middle of a grazing table, or even use them as place card holders by tying name tags with twine.
They’re affordable, versatile, and instantly bring that cosy autumn feel.
Macrons
I love the use of beautiful food as decor. Having a gorgeous food table can really bring the wow-factor to your party – everyone gathers where the food is, right?

Macrons are a lovely offering at your baby shower as they’re easy to scoop up and eat while mingling.
A macron tower featuring bold Halloween colours would make a cool and striking addition to your baby shower decor.
Leaf garlands
Drape faux leaf garlands across the dessert table, gift station or around doorways to create a warm seasonal backdrop.
Choose rich shades of red, orange and gold to emphasise fall, or go for muted neutrals if you want a more elegant, understated look.
Bold roses
Florals aren’t just for spring. Deep red or burnt orange roses mixed with greenery bring a sense of richness and sophistication to your baby shower decor.
Pair them with rustic containers like mason jars, tin pails or vintage vases to keep the look grounded in autumn.
Twinkling fairy lights
As the evenings draw in, fairy lights add instant magic. Wrap them around apple crates, drape them along garlands, or place them in glass jars on tables to create a soft glow. They’re perfect for adding warmth without overpowering the space.
Apple crates
Wooden apple crates double up as décor and function. Stack them to create different display levels for food, favours, or gifts.
Fill them with seasonal touches like apples, pumpkins, or blankets for a rustic, farm-to-table feel that ties the whole theme together.
