Looking for a simple pasta dish that’s easy to make but absolutely wins the flavour contest hands-down?
This amazing mustard pork chops dish is a huge favourite in our house and something we make frequently as a mid-week meal.

It takes just 20 minutes to cook, making it perfect if you have barely any time to put dinner together.
For kids, you can reduce the amount of grainy mustard you add to the sauce in order to tone down that tangy flavour which may be a little much for younger kids. I personally like to add a little extra!
How to make pork chops in a creamy mustard sauce with gnocchi
For this pork chops recipe you will need:
- 2 pork chops
- 2 tsp garlic olive oil
- 125ml cider
- 1.5 tbsp mustard
- 75ml double cream
- 400g gnocchi
To make your dish start by frying the pork chops in a hot pan with the garlic olive oil.

They will need around four to five minutes frying time on each side, but do check to see if they are cooked through.
When the chops are cooked, remove them from the pan and place to one side on a plate or board.
Add the cider to the same pan and allow to bubble for around two minutes.
Next add the mustard and double cream, then simmer the sauce on a reduced heat for around two minutes.
While the sauce is cooking, cook your gnocchi according to the instructions on the pack (typically simmer in just boiled water for around two minutes).
Place your chops on the plate, then the gnocchi and finally pour your sauce over the chops and gnocchi before serving.
