With the January that seemed to last FOREVER at last behind us, I’m looking forward to the change in seasons with a spring in my step and thinking about treating myself to an updated wardrobe.
This time last year I was still breastfeeding my youngest so I was fairly limited on what types of tops and dresses I could wear – everything had to be geared up around easy access to the goods.
Now my baby is weaned and happily chugging down cow’s milk I feel free to finally give my Spring wardrobe a little refresh!
I’m thinking florals, lace, bold and bright colours plus girly styles to remind me I’m more than just a mummy.
I’ve been looking at Esprit’s new Spring collection, and my fave outfit just has to be this denim dress with a red trench! Check out more details here:
Cool stretch cotton denim dress (£55)
I’ve been wanting a denim dress for ages! I just think are fabulous for mums on the go. You can wear them with trainers or dress them up with ballet pumps or heals depending on where you’re going.
The pleats at the top of the skirt of this dress are so very flattering!
Classic trench coat in cotton (£75)
I’ve had my eye on a trench coat for quite a while! I love the bright red of this one. The trench is a classic that takes you from season to season.
But I also have lots of other top picks from the lovely collection! Here they are:
Embroidered top with a mesh texture (£29)
How beautiful is this navy blue top? I love the floral embroidery across the neck and arms. Plus the fact that the lace is sheer at the top bares a bit of skin, but not in a too in-your-face kind of way.
I think this would be fab paired with jeans for a lunch or casual dinner out.
Polka dot fine knit jumper (£39)
I love the pale pink polka dots on this jumper! I have a lot of stripy jumpers and tops so I need to try and break away from that pattern to try something a bit new for Spring.
This looks so cosy but pretty. Perfect for a day out playing with the kids in the park!
Long cardigan with a ribbed texture (£39)
I adore long cardigans. I just love getting cosy on the sofa and wrapping the long sides around myself! I think they are really flattering as well.
I love the ribbed texture on this and both the navy and pale pink colours are gorgeous options.
Chiffon dress with tie around belt (£69)
This pretty dress comes in three colours but I love the teal green!
I think the belt is super flattering as well as feminine with that big bow. I have a couple of weddings this year and this could be a really fabulous dress to wear.
Denim skirt in 100% cotton (£45)
I have fallen in love with skirts all over again recently! I had ditched them for dresses, but now they are back in my wardrobe and I just love how versatile a good skirt can be.
This one with a pretty heart print design is a bit different and oh-so fun.
Flared crinkle skirt with tribal print (£39)
I absolutely adore the pattern on this skirt! I would pair it with a pale pink or white tee on a warm Spring day out with the kids.
Cotton print “Fun” T-shirt (£19)
We are all about the fun in our house! I love the three-quarter length sleeves on this tee, it’s perfect for the Spring weather which can be a bit hit and miss.
Stretch chinos (£39)
I think that I would have to get these chinos in every single colour, as I couldn’t possibly pick a favourite! I love the pale pink but I think the navy would be really versatile! Decisions, decisions.
So that’s my Spring wardrobe wish list! What do you think? Do any of these take your fancy?
