What do mums really want for Christmas?
We could talk about the practical stuff such as a lie-in, no washing up for a month, a day off from the kids and skipping bedtime. But there are also some Christmas gifts that we would love to see wrapped up under the tree this year!
If you are stuck for what to buy a mum this Christmas, here are some inspired gift ideas to really spoil her this year.

A new watch
While a mum might now have all that much time on her hands, it’s good for her to have a nice way to keep on top of the time!
A new watch is a beautiful and thoughtful gift for Christmas. Nordgreen make some stunning and affordable watches that look incredibly elegant.
I was kindly gifted this gorgeous rose gold watch in time for Christmas and I am so in love with it. I haven’t had a watch for the longest time (I just rely on my phone) and I know I will enjoy wearing this every day so much.
This watch also comes in silver and gold.
Cool tee or sweatshirt
There are some amazing small creators making fun, stylish and cool tees for mums.
One of my faves is Mama Life London and her “Never Off Duty” tees. This has been on my wishlist for a while!
I also have to give a nod to Selfish Mother and their beautiful Mother sweatshirts (I have one in red).
I’ve also recently been finding some really funny tees in Neon Sheep.
These are absolutely perfect for a new mum. Cook sells ready meals that are simply delicious.
It’s a great gift for new parents who are struggling to find time to cook a variety of tasty, hearty meals in the evenings.
They have all sorts to choose from, such as Indian, Thai, Chinese, British, American and more.
You could go down the personalised route and get her a nice pendant with her initials on, or the initials of your children.
You can’t really beat a new scarf in my opinion. I personally love big, chunky scarfs that really surround you, but I know some ladies prefer the more delicate and subtle silk scarves.
A new bag
She’s probably sick of toting around a huge changing bag all of the time so pick her up something nice and small that can hold her purse, phone, keys and maybe a pack of wipes in case of emergencies.
Some sensible shoes
Mums might miss their heels, but tearing around after the kids all day does take its toll on the feet.
Buy her some walking boots that will see her through all those hours of exploring the woods with a toddler.
Does she get the chance to read very much these days? Buy her the latest fiction book by her favourite author, or go for a self-care book that may encourage her to take a little more time out for herself.
Flowers for a year
There are letterbox flowers companies that will deliver a new bouquet every month through the letterbox. Yep that’s right, so you need to pop them in water as soon as you get home!
I love how this is the gift that just keeps on giving. In the UK Bloom and Wild do gorgeous bouquets and you will receive a different one every single month.
A subscription is a lovely way to spoil a mum, and it’s something she can look forward to every month.
Not just any socks. Go for super soft cashmere socks that are really fluffy. These can be worn around the house in the chilly mornings or in bed.
One of my absolute favourite gifts to receive. Whether she would prefer quirky PJs or cute shorts and a tank, a new pair of pyjamas makes getting into to bed feel that bit more luxurious.
Pick out a pretty candle in her favourite scent. I love the gorgeous candles you can pick up at Oliver Bonas, as they come in pretty little jars that you could reuse.
I hope this list has given you some good ideas for what to get a busy mum for Christmas! If all else fails, chocolate and prosecco are always a winner!
