A spooky adventure at Sea Life London Aquarium

The Sea Life London Aquarium is getting into the spirit of Halloween this month by inviting little ones to dive into its Ascarium.

Me and my two girls were invited along to check out this fun-filled adventure, and meet the underwater creatures of the Sea Life centre.

I have never taken the girls to the Sea Life London Aquarium before and it’s been on our list for ages – so it was a real thrill to go along during such a special event.

The aquarium has an incredible variety of exotic fish and creatures for children to get up close to, it really is awe-inspiring to see all of this sea life in such a vibrant environment.

This Halloween the aquarium has transformer its tanks and exhibits to celebrate. My two loved seeing the spooky decorations such as pumpkins and spiders dotted around the place.

When we entered the aquarium we were given a pencil and treasure hunt sheet for the girls to fill in as we went along. The challenge is to help the Sea Witch unlock her treasure chest by finding the ingredients for her magic spell.

The tanks containing the ingredients have special stickers on telling kids to keep their eyes peeled and riddles appear on the screens explaining what fish are living in the tanks to help.

Jessica loved finding the witch hat, bat and other spooky ingredients. When we handed over the girls’ completed treasure hunt lists at the exit we received little Sea Life cups to take home, which Jessica is really treasuring as a memory of her special day.

My absolute favourite bit of the Sea Life London Aquarium was the large tank filled with sharks, rays and fish. This tank is something you can stare at for absolutely hours, and I think both girls would have happily stood there gazing into for ages!

The tunnel is a real highlight, with little holes in the wall where your children can crawl into and peer into the tank – Isabella especially loved this one and I had to drag her out!

However they also got a real kick out of touching the starfish, which was a real treat, and were both fascinated by the sea horses – these are one of my faves too.

The rainforest section is packed with exotic bugs, piranha, crocodiles and turtles, plus it has been really beautifully decorated with trees, vines and leaves to make you feel like you are really there.

The Sea Life London Aquarium Ascarium Halloween event runs until October 31. Visit the Sea Life London Aquarium website to book your tickets!

We were provided free entry to the aquarium in exchange for this review. All opinions are my own.
