The Mummy Bubble is nearly a year old and, as much of a cliche as this may be, my only regret about launching it is that I didn’t do it sooner.
Getting my thoughts down in writing has been such a huge thrill for me. Suddenly I went from being all alone with my crying, constantly feeding baby at night to sharing my experience of parenting with fellow mums.
All I had to do was type (one-handed) on my phone and hit publish, then all of a sudden I was reaching thousands of other mamas all over the world.
Blogging is a way of connecting with other mums, knowing that I’m not alone in struggling on the hard days and giving each other a virtual high five when we get a rare win.
So blogging has become an addiction for me, one that I am always discovering new and exciting things about.
For a long time now I have been enthralled with podcasts. I listened to Serial – the amazing series following a journalist’s investigation into the murder of a high school student in the US.
Now that I’m a parent, I love to listen to podcasts such as Mother Pukka’s Parenting the Shit Out of Life and Alison Perry’s Not Another Mummy Podcast.
As parents we are busy, busy people and rarely get the chance to sit down and actually read something. But podcasts are something you can devour while on the go, whether it be in the car, the gym, the kitchen or bed – whatever time you manage to get there!
Podcasts offer an amazing opportunity to reach more people, to speak to them (literally) in a different way.
So it’s only natural for me to now launch a podcast, as I want to make it even easier for you to join me in The Mummy Bubble.
My new podcast is going to feature real mums talking about the wins and woes of motherhood. It’s going to be the good, the bad and the ugly of parenting.
I’ve got some fantastic guests lined up to chat with me about all things parenting, from giving birth to the early weeks and breastfeeding and from toddler tantrums to mummy style and career.
There will be a brand new episode every Wednesday. I would LOVE for you to listen in and subscribe, but also get in touch and let me know what you would like me to talk about next.
If you have a particular question or a topic in mind, let me know!
So for today I’m introducing the podcast with my trailer. Have a listen and let me know what you think!
I’ll be publishing a brand new episode every Wednesday! Don’t forget to head over to iTunes and subscribe!
